A New System explores how a group of people get together to make music. All roles are played by me, but by using your imagination, you can listen to the music 'they' make whilst they go through their day-to-day lives and how all the changes in their perspective on the world and their work are reflected in the songs. A beatmaker, a poet, a singer and a few of their dedicated to help friends start their own home studio. They are passionate protesters and lovers of life and fun. The world they live in goes against most of their principles and they want to show the world what is wrong through their music. As they go about enjoying life, the going gets harder and the injustice keeps pushing them down. Eventually, they feel ready to forget about their peaceful ways and dedicate their discipline to anarchy and anti-authoritarian actions, that lead to them achieving their goals of freedom, but at what expense? Close your eyes and put on their shoes, let the music and lyrics lead you on a journey to watch a film in your own mind. That is until the actual film based on the idea is made. I hope some of this speaks to you and makes you think.
