Magnificent Octopus are a Toronto Alternative Indie Rock band of the 1990s consisting of Luke Mercier, Jeff Cardey, Conor Luney, and James Switzer. Their debut magnum opus (pun intended) 'boy on a lobster' returns after many years lost at sea. 'Pony Ride on the Moon' (2023) is a trove of studio sessions, rehearsals, and live performances hauled up from the depths. Much like flotsam and jetsam 'Mussel Memory' (2023) continues this theme of loose ends, with yet more from the bottom of the barrel in the offing.
