Combining inventive alt pop with a cryptic visual space known as ‘ourWorld’, Fast Trains is the boundary-pushing solo project of Portsmouth born songwriter Tom Wells. Putting a modern take on alternative icons like XTC, Radiohead and Talk Talk, their string of self-produced, self-released EPs has led to national songwriting awards, rousing festival performances, support tours with the likes of Turin Brakes, and a wealth of UK radio play from BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. Now Fast Trains are embarking on the release of their debut album, ‘Escape to ourWorld’ - a 10-song cycle about escapism, told through a series of characters and situations set in the mysterious ourWorld.
