GTWIST was born on January 22, 1988 and grew up in Imperial, CA. He first became interested in music at the age of 9 after learning how to play the saxophone. At the age of 13, he began writing and composing his own verses which lead him to record his first track that same year. He attended and graduated from Imperial High School in Imperial. In 2018, during a Coast2Coast Artist Showcase in Las Vegas Nevada, GTWIST and a group he was with at the time [TechniColouR] placed 2nd, thus moving him from a web based platform to a live syndication. During his time in TechniColouR, GTWIST recorded and produced three albums with at time fellow member, Devault. After leaving TechniColouR in 2019, GTWIST set forward to continue his career as an independent artist, writing and distributing his music through the blessings that God has given him. GTWIST’s second album [January’s Own], is a mixture of an underground style blended with hip hop of today.
