8ty9 (Born Adeniran Oluokun) is a Toronto based Music Producer. Growing up in Port harcourt Nigeria he was in the church choir from age 11 to 16. He is also a member of a hip hop/afro collective based in Lagos Nigeria / Toronto Canada called BLAO FAMILY. 
 8ty9 Got into beat making in 2011 when he looped some existing beats and discovered the art of sampling. He dabbled more into it in 2015 when he got laid off from his day job and had sometime to get more into his passion for music and production. He bought his first musical gear Akai MPK MINI from amazon and made his first beat by sampling old music from the 60s and adding drums and baseline to it. Ever since, 8ty9 has dropped 4 beat tapes in the past 5 years he worked on a freestyle tape called Memories live 4eva with Blao family.  8ty9 released his debut solo vocal project titled Late Summer in August of 2018. The sequel Late summer 2 was released May 2022. With singles like Black king with his long time affiliate and brother PG Blao
