Owen Allen is a native of Liverpool UK, Owen started writing music around 2006 and made some impact on the local music scene within the city but stoped in 2008 to travel and work in and around Europe, fastfoward to 2015 when Owen decided to pick up the guitar and pen again writing his first EP and album and releasing both in early 2016, gigging extensively in and around the Northwest of England for the next two years, after a small brake Owen is now back with his latest single titled PREDICTABLE, listening to his work you will notice a different style to his new stuff that's drenched in melodic pianos and upbeat drums but still maintaining that deep rich and sometimes dark tone of lyrics previous, Owen writes from the heart and that comes through in his music, entwined in his tails are the horrors, pains, loves, joys, losses and laughs he's experienced in his interesting life, his music flitters between several genre's that are sometimes hard to place and Thus making listening so much more interesting, with a background in acoustic guitar folk he's now bringing us his take on classic pop, rock, blues, soul, indie and R&B, in the last analysis I would say Owen is like a version of Singer seal mixed with Tracy Chapman who writes, records and producers all of his own work... 2019 looks set to be a vary interesting year for this larger than life old soul that's for sure.
