Dutch guitarist and composer Bernhard Reinke (1952) plays in the seventies rock and blues with Herman Brood, Harry Muskee and Phoney and the Hardcore. In the 1980s he studies at the Hilversum Conservatory with Wim Overgaauw. He is fascinated by the versatility of jazz and connects it with other music styles. With his own bands, he plays instrumental jazz rock since 1982 and has recorded his music on six CDs. From 1988 he is a guitar and ensemble teacher at the Arnhem conservatory (Artez). New musical path From 2014 Reinke converts previous instrumental songs into songs and writes new songs. On the album ‘Paradise’ Bernhard Reinke wants to combine the experiences from his rock period with the jazz and jazz-rock he played in the following years. "It's good to know where you stand", this is how the title track of "Paradise" ends. The other songs on ‘Paradise’ are also about the path that people follow in their lives in the search for freedom and happiness.
