Marisa Michelson is an award-winning vocalist and composer of music-theatre, choral works and musicals. She founded the vocal-performance Constellation Chor || an immersion in voice, movement and spirit which has performed internationally and made a name for itself during a decade in the experimental scenes in New York City, even premiering a piece by Ash Fure at Lincoln Center, conducted by Jaap van Zweden. Compositions include two off-Broadway musicals, a large oratorio for five choirs and chamber orchestra, and The Desire | Divinity Project, an experimental music-theatre piece. A sought after teacher, Marisa has also created Vocal De-Armoring, a holistic and healing teaching approach to singing and voice-giving that seeks to unblock the mental, emotional and physical blocks that keep us from singing and Being freely.
