SID（シド） 2003年結成。マオ(vo)、Shinji(g)、明希(b)、ゆうや(ds)からなる4人組ロックバンド。 2008年、TVアニメ『黒執事』OPテーマ「モノクロのキス」でメジャーデビュー。 2010年の東京ドーム公演では4万人を動員。 結成10周年となった2013年には、初のベストアルバムをリリースし、オリコンウィークリー1位を獲得。 同年、横浜スタジアムで10周年記念ライブを開催、 夏には初の野外ツアーで4都市5公演で5万人を動員し大成功を収める。 2014年には香港・台湾を含む全国ツアーを開催。 2017年5月には両日ソールドアウトの中、日本武道館2days公演を実施。 2018年はバンド結成15周年&メジャーデビュー10周年のアニバーサリーイヤーとして、計50本以上にも及ぶ 全国ライブハウス公演やアジアツアーを行ったのち、2019年3月にグランドファイナルとして横浜アリーナ公演を大成功に終えた。 コロナ禍の2020年にも勢力的に楽曲をリリースし、2021年5月に河口湖ステラシアター公演を実施。 2022年に令和歌謡を提唱する最新アルバム「海辺」をリリース。 2023年1月から結成20周年イヤーがスタート。アルバム「海辺」を引っ提げたツアーをはじめ様々なアニバーサリー企画を行い、12月27日には日本武道館にて＜SID 20th Anniversary GRAND FINAL 「いちばん好きな場所」＞を開催した。 メジャーデビュー以降数々のアニメのOP・EDテーマを手掛け、2024年1月にもアニメ「天官賜福 貮」日本語吹替版OPテーマ「面影」、続く4月にアニメ『黒執事 -寄宿学校編-』EDテーマ「贖罪」をリリース。続く5月には2021年にも開催した河口湖ステラシアター公演を実施し、さらに、今秋10月13日よりSID HALL TOUR 2024 ～Monochrome Circus～の開催が決定している。 Formed in 2003, SID is a four-piece rock band consisting of Mao (vocals), Shinji (guitar), Aki (bass), and Yuya (drums). Since their major debut, they have worked on the opening and ending themes for numerous anime, and in January 2024, they released the opening theme for the Japanese dubbed versions of the anime "Heaven Official's Blessing Season 2" entitled "Omokage.” Most recently, they provided the ending theme, “Shokuzai,” for the anime “Black Butler Public School Arc" in April 2024. In addition, the band will give another series of performances at Kawaguchiko Stella Theater in May 2024, almost 3 years to the date of the original performance.
