Stav Goldberg is a composer, pianist, and live improviser. He is known for his solo and band performances demonstrating an outstanding ability to compose complete and elaborate pieces of music in real-time of performance. His original compositions from his album “Symphony of Water” are about integrating the shapes of nature and water into music. Stav Goldberg was born on September 3, 1996, in Jerusalem, Israel. He showed a deep connection to music from age three and began to study classical piano when he was seven years old. Six years later, he began studying composition with the late composer, André Hajdu. He later joined the Jerusalem Academy High School of Music and Dance while also studying with jazz pianist Omri Mor. Upon finishing high school, he began to play as a side man with several working bands and played in jazz venues and festivals worldwide. In 2018, he went to study at New School University in New York City. While studying there he continued to tour in the US and Europe. In past years Goldberg has been working continuously composing and playing live as a solo artist, with his band, and with other musicians as a sideman, while perfecting his ability to compose full pieces of music spontaneously, and composing for solo piano and ensemble.
