Everstar was a project from the prolific new age producers David and Steve Gordon. Enchanted Journey, its debut, drew inspiration from director Peter Jackson's incredibly successful Lord of the Rings trilogy. But while it did feature song titles like "Departure From the Shire" and "On the Road to Rivendell," the album was actually a trip through conventional new age and contemporary instrumental soundscapes. There was also some question as to the group's membership beyond the Gordon brothers. While Journey listed contributors like Landis Farwind and Eldor Gildomir, little was known about these curiously named players, leading some to speculate on their true identities or very existence. Nevertheless, Enchanted Journey was issued through the Gordons' Sequoia imprint in September 2003. A Christmas title, Yuletide in the Shire, followed that year. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
