Positronic means what it sounds like. Positive-electronic and it is the creation of Michael L. McDannold. Michael has been making electronic synth pop music since 1988 and is from the Inland Empire in Southern California. His love for synth music started from listening to bands like OMD, Erasure, Depeche Mode, & The Pet Shop Boys. Michael began playing and writing music with a few synth bands in high school and through the years, Michael's vision is one of positivity and levity, believing that music should bring joy, not sadness and depression. This lead to him creating his solo act, Positronic in 2004. The first Positronic album was released in January of 2019 called, A NEW DAY. I June 26th, 2020 was the day for Positronic’s 2nd album called, “New Life”. It’s 10 new songs with a bonus track at the end. Michael wrote this album in the midst of a personal trial. It reflects on putting away the past, stepping towards the future, and letting love win out in the end. It has the upbeat positive sound that is Positronic. The third studio album is called Retrospective and is a 13-song album which Michael wrote from 1987-2005. Its was released November 12th, 2021. “Into the Blue” is the fourth album and comes out April 14, 2023. It’s a 10-song album and is Michael’s best yet. It handles themes of relationship struggles, to losing love, to getting away from life’s problems by taking a holiday. Michael hopes you enjoy it!
