Classically trained, the Suffolk-born singer-songwriter blends heart-on-sleeve storytelling with soaring, evocative vocals to create a soul-stirring pop style that lifts & inspires her listeners. Anouska first began singing when she was 10, having grown up in a home that was filled with music of every genre. She credits her variety & eclecticism for artists that her parents played including legends like Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Elton John & The Rolling Stones. These shaped her love for soul, gospel and R&B music & eventually influencing her own soulful vocal style. Having spent over 12 years living in Melbourne, highlights from Anouska’s career as a performer include her soloist performance for the ‘Carols by Candlelight’ concert attended by over 25,000 people (Melbourne) and singing at her own sold-out Eva Cassidy Unplugged show (Recital Centre, Melbourne).
