Straight out of poverty-stricken Harlem, Indigo General burst into the NYC music scene in 2014 with the release of his first single “Sacredly Chosen”. The 23yr old, singer, songwriter, MC and model, started his artistic journey at a young age while attending the Choir Academy of Harlem where he learned how to sing, perform, read & write music. Influenced early on by the native music of his home country Honduras, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and others, it wasn’t until Indigo General first heard the stylings of Qtip, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and other groundbreaking urban artists that he focused on hip-hop. Attending as many open mics and industry events around NYC as possible, Indigo helped to hone his MC and freestyle abilities. Working closely with childhood friend and artist, Jaquell, and rapper/engineer Cliché, Indigo help found the NYC artist collective known as SacredGzz. Building upon the friendships that grew out of the SacredGzz collective, he bolstered his organic fan base leading up to the release of his multi-part EP series titled ''Cosmic Chronicles''. Following the Cosmic Chronicles release, Indigo grew both personal and artistically resulting in the release of his most recent and well received Mixtape Extra Sauce in 2017. Since then Indigo General has sold out legendary NYC venue SOB’s, opened up for major acts such as Busta Rhymes, DMX, Mobb Deep, and more, along with performing at major festivals such as A3C Festival, Harlem Arts Festival & Art Basel.
