White Hill Crew is a versatile rap duo based in the south west of the UK, residing in Plymouth. They first got acquainted through secondary school where they started to compose electronic music together, which eventually after a few years, spiralled into creating hip hop beats and Melodie’s. YTB first took to the stage with his original rap name, “MC Whiteboy” and started to write music, something he had done since a child but it had never before been put into practice. ‘Whiteboy’ was shortened down and we created his new staple name, “YTB” from “Whitey B”, which also has a definition of “Yankee That’s British”, considering that YTB originally is from Florida, USA. Reed, on the other hand is the brains of the operation and has been creating productions on DAWs for nearly 15 years now, trying out all forms of different genres of music. The two have been best friends for years and since YTB moved to Plymouth, their bond has been unbreakable. As of late 2019, going into 2020, the pair started to create rap songs together, after YTB convinced Reed to hop on the mic and give it a go. They made a few tracks before lockdown struck in March 2020, meaning the pair were trapped indoors and had nothing else to do other than music. It’s all only evolved from this point, as the lads have now had exposure all throughout the UK, working with many notable artists and gaining many achievements throughout their first few years of rapping together. They only continue to grow and build.
