Born Nicolas R. Vargas, an American citizen of Mexican, Indigenous, and French descent. Nico Vargas is an R&B, pop, country, soft rock singer-songwriter, and actor from Clovis, CA, along with his twin brother, DJ, audio engineer and music producer, Diego Vargas (aka Ne10). Since he was born in Fresno, CA, in 1999, his musical influences expanded from Vicente Fernandez; Journey; Earth, Wind & Fire; Garth Brooks; Michael Jackson; Bruno Mars; Lionel Richie; Phil Collins; Prince; Whitney Houston; and many more legendary artists. Following the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis at age 3, he started to become interested, observant, and passively eager about music. By September of 2006, at age 7, he began to teach himself how to play the piano and sing simultaneously. He was involved in three theatrical productions from Roosevelt School of the Arts, and one with Shine! Theatre: -Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2016) (Roles of Issachar & Potiphar) -Little Shop of Horrors (2017) (Roles of Wino #1 & Audrey II) -Wild Oats (2017) (Role of Live Pianist) -Big River: The Musical Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (2019) (Role of Judge Thatcher, Harvey Wilkes & Silas Phelps) On June 7th, 2017, he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School along with Roosevelt School of the Arts with hopes of becoming a successful recording artist. Currently, he's the keyboardist and vocalist for the local variety cover band, "Eminent Groove".
