Born and raised in Toronto Ontario, Katasha J has loved music since birth. Growing up in her household she was surrounded by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Brandy, Mariah Carey and many other artists that have inspired her. She started playing piano at a very young age and is a classically trained Royal Conservatory of Music student. She was also trained vocally by local jazz musicians from the age of 10. Katasha often incorporates piano into her songs and is often the one playing the melody.
