Cybophonia is the brainchild of Eros Minichiello, a musician and producer based in Locarno, Switzerland. In addition to creating music for film, TV, and radio, he has released records on the renowned label Irma Records: the self-titled album "Cybophonia" in 2000, along with two 12" EPs, several singles, and remixes. Among these, his remix of "Ocean Beach" by Black Mighty Orchestra became a chillout anthem. In 2007, Cybophonia released the "Slide In" EP, followed by the album "Spinning" in 2014—two eclectic collections that blend downtempo, nu-jazz, nu-disco, house, lounge, and pop. After a hiatus, Cybophonia returned in 2021 with several singles, culminating in the album "Bloom." This release marked a shift toward a more organic approach to songwriting, incorporating vocals and guitars while scaling back on digital production to reconnect with Eros' indie guitar-pop roots. In September 2024, Cybophonia released a new album titled "Nothing More." This latest work builds on the dream-pop sound of "Bloom," adding a folk-rock twist while reintroducing the electronic elements that characterized his earlier productions. The result is a fresh blend of organic and digital textures.
