eNeRG. One half of the music duo eNeRGHJ from GHJ Productions. Inspired by artists such as NF, Phora, XXXTentacion and Kendrick Lamar, eNeRG, whose birth name is "Rodney Gant Jr.", first started writing music with his best friend "George Harris", also known as GHJ at the age of 10. He released his first song "Care" at the beginning of 2018. The beat was a lo-fi type beat and contained a Shiloh Dynasty sample. The song was very reminiscent of late rapper XXXTENTACION'S 17 album. Liking what he made, eNeRG soon began making more lo-fi esque songs and released them on Soundcloud. eNeRG soon released his remix of J.Cole's "1985" named "The Warm Up". Occasionally releasing 1 minute remixes of songs he liked on Instagram, eNeRG made a name for himself. After listening to the "Perception" album by rap artist NF, eNeRG realized what he wanted to do with music. He vowed to make music to express himself and inspire others. Music that didn't contain profanity to prove that it can still make an impact.
