Dan McCoy has been bringing his brand of Heartland-Alt.Country-Rock to the masses since 1988 (a month before his 15th birthday). There have been many comparisons of McCoy's music to Springsteen, Petty, Seger, Mellencamp as well as more contemporary artists such as Lucero, Drive-By Truckers & Will Hoge. "McCoy has a boyish, fun rock voice that sounds like Jackson Browne with more guts and growl" says Jennifer Layton from Indie-Music.com. McCoy & his band, Rambler 454, were voted “Best Band to Listen to on a Road Trip” by the Cleveland Free Times & he picked up the Cleveland Scene Music Award for best Americana/Country band in 2010. Dan can be found playing regular gigs in his hometown of Willoughby, OH, throughout the greater Cleveland area & in what he calls his second hometown, Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to bar gigs there he’s landed spots at the Three Rivers Arts Festival, Deutschtown Music Festival & the Millvale Music Festival. Adding to his travels through the years he’s has picked up gigs in Nashville, NYC, Maryland, Chicago, Cincinnati, Charleston (South Carolina) & Buffalo. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, he & his band, the Standing 8s, released the 6 song EP Every Crowded Street while January 2021 saw the release of the single Young As I Am Today. At the end of July, 2022 McCoy headed to Plaid Dog Recording in Boston to lay down tracks for his upcoming 5 song EP, Snapshots. Snapshots is slated for an early 2023 release & will be his 12th album/EP.
