Ibn Itaka is a Puerto-Rican/Congolese label owner, DJ and record producer currently based in Seville, Spain. His unique perspective and innovative approach to music production and curation make him an enigmatic figure in the global sphere of electronic, jazz and world music. Ibn Itaka co-founded independent record label Abu Recordings in 2019, successfully launching international rising acts such as Saint Levant, Felukah & Waleed. As a DJ, Ibn Itaka has performed in renowned clubs, venues & festivals in cities such as Dubai, Paris , Kinshasa, Seville, London, San Juan, Detroit, Montreal, Toronto and New York, among others. Through his worldwide journey, Ibn Itaka has forged meaningful connections with artists and audiences from very diverse cultures and backgrounds.He currently prepares for new 2024 summer releases via New York based boutique electronic label Tech Afrique. Fresh out of his NOBU Sevilla Aston Martin Residency Ibn Itaka promises summer dates full of exciting new sounds that will reflect his extensive traveling, research and collaborations.
