Head of the kokle and guitar class of J. Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, Anda is one of the most respected kokle players of today (Kokle is a Latvian plucked string instrument). Currently actively performing in Latvia and abroad as a solo musician, as well as a member of several chamber orchestras, among which the most notable being the contemporary classical music ensemble Altera Veritas. While performing with this group, Anda collaborated with numerous distinguished Latvian artists and symphony orchestras, and earned the highest award in Latvian music – the Great Music Award (2003), as well as Yearly Award in Culture from the national newspaper Diena (2004), Annual Folk Music Award (2007), and Baltais Zvirbulis Cultural Award of the Year (2004, 2014).
