Thunderchild is a Tauranga-based quartet consisting of Scott Callaghan on Drums, Batz Kell on Bass, Lachlan Smith on guitar, and fronted by Luke McHardy. Inspired by the great icons of old-school, Thunderchild presents a classic sound for the modern age. Founded by Toi-Ohomai music students in 2017, the band branched out from the classroom into the local music scene, amongst our achievements, playing venues across the North Island and coming third in 2018's nationwide Battle Of The Bands. After graduating, Thunderchild entered it's current line-up in 2019, and released their debut EP in April 2021.
