Joanna Dyson Jakubcin's music is influenced by the great storytellers of the international folk genre, with a mixture of pop, jazz, and soft rock that results in a unique sound. She has collaborated with several established musicians to build a new sound of her own: Dave Nachmanoff's guitar tracks have been featured in several of her songs. Also, Adam Milan Dvorecky of the Europa Band has provided drum tracks for several of her songs in the past. Joanna grew up in Ohio and currently lives in the Central Florida area. She has self-published 9 books, mainly in the poetry and song-lyrics genre. She plays piano during the process of composing songs, and her unusual vocal style seems to borrow from the nostalgic smooth jazz era. She graduated from Indiana University at Bloomington.
