Simi Fyda is a polish experimental artist whose work intersects sound and visual art to investigate themes of identity, transformation, and corporeality. Her debut album, Yuri (released via Enjoy Life), merges elements of dark ambient, post-industrial, and deconstructed club music into a cohesive exploration of personal and existential transitions. The album’s seven tracks combine field recordings with dense, layered soundscapes that reflect the fluidity of self and the complex relationship between body and mind. Yuri received attention from platforms such as NOODS Radio, NTS, Radio Kapitał, Ola Radio and Dublab. In response to the album’s reception, Simi released Yuri (The Remix Album), enlisting a diverse group of international collaborators, including Helen Island, Concepción Huerta, Lemta Toro and others, who each brought unique interpretations to the original tracks. This project expands the themes of identity and transformation, offering new sonic perspectives while maintaining the core introspection of the debut.
