Brooklyn post-punk/dream pop band The Harrow walk a fine line between the alluring and the surreal. Driving, club-centric electronics nestle against lush organic instrumentation, woven with vivid songcraft. Composed of Vanessa Irena, Frank Deserto, Barrett Hiatt, and Greg Fasolino, the band coalesced in 2013, culminating in the release of their self-titled EP that October. “Axis,” a vinyl split single, followed in spring 2014, accompanied by the band’s first video. That October, The Harrow issued a cover of The Glove’s “Mouth to Mouth” as a free digital single. Preceded by the moody “Love Like Shadows” single and video, debut album “Silhouettes” was released in 2015. A more eclectic and collaborative effort, mixed by Xavier Paradis of Automelodi, it showcased a new level of integration between advanced electronics, dreamy melodies and aggressive beats. The band’s third video, “Feral Haze,” was released in December 2015, directed and animated by Gooby Herms. Another split single, “Dirty Minds,” followed in 2016. The Harrow’s 2017-2018 remix album, “Points of View,” contains interpretations of songs from “Silhouettes” album by various friends and collaborators. <br>
