Feathervane is an electronic music project developed by multimedia creative Simón Marulanda-Mesa. He was raised in Texas as a son of Colombian immigrants and began working with small record labels at just 12 years of age, exploring various genres under various aliases. He has since settled into atmospheric chillout and melodic house styles supported by the likes of Nora En Pure, Cosmic Gate, and Tritonal. His victory as a DJ in the 2020 season of the Monstercat Mix Contest eventually ushered in the “NEW YOUTH ERA” of his discography, which he launched by delivering two EPs with Monstercat Silk. After being voted into the label’s Best of 2022 album, he premiered Holding Back, his most streamed track to date, at his first ever show, where he played as direct support for EMBRZ. With an exciting future ahead, the Austin-based artist reunites with longtime friends Cloudcage and OREONIC in 2024 to share a collaborative release titled Lost For Words / Distant Places with Enhanced Chill.
