South African DJ and producer Daniel Marais aka Paws has become known for bringing the sonic life of cinema to the techno world, featuring twice on the beatport top10 charts. Starting out as a Producer, and later finding a passion for djing, he intricately prepares for his performances. Some of his favourite attended events include, Africaburn (2022), and ALL Underground Africa events. He believes in exploring the wide spectrum of sound, in order to reinvent and revolutionise in his own unique style. Paws’ production style aligns with the peak-time/driving genre. He tries to make each track harder and heavier. Including this criteria for track selection. Lately he has been working on projects with various artists that intertwine other dance genres with techno. He has featured on multiple Underground Africa and Teknotribe line-ups in the past. In the past weeks, he played ‘The Underground Africa takeover at XONE’ and ‘The Tenfold Takeover’ in Cape-town and shortly after at ‘The WHYLY X Underground Africa Ft. Radio Slave club night’ in Pretoria.
