"Frank Benkho" is the new solo project of Mika Martini (electronic musician and designer, director of Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel), in which mainly uses voice, analog synthesizers and processed in real time with sound effects pedals, wave generators and loop machines to create atmosphere and close to the "noise" melodic statements as "gospel" and electronics old School. After studying architecture and finishing with design at the Universidad Católica de Chile, Mika/Frank began making minimal music that combined field recordings from Chile’s various ethnic groups with abstract sonic material, utilizing the technique of micro-sampling. Later, as an ardent member of the Chilean Electroacoustic Community (CECh), he received diverse influences and ideas from electroacoustic music and he began focusing his work towards more experimental paths. The audiovisual spectacle of "Frank Benkho" has been presented at the Festival Renew (2011, Copenhagen, Denmark), Galería NIU (2011, Barcelona, España), Centro Cultural La Cúpula (2011, Córdoba, Argentina), 10 Bienal de Video y Artes Mediales (2012, Santiago, Chile), Festival Cruces Sonoros (2012, Santiago, Chile), Encuentro Fricciones (2013, Santiago, Chile), Festival Microfestlabel (2014, Valparaíso, Chile), Concert Exploradores del Sonido III (2015, Michigan University, Ann Arbor, USA), Club Quinto Sol Festival (2017, Santiago, Chile), «Electric Society» Concert (2017, Cabildo de Montevideo, Uruguay), among others.
