Stormfolk is an alternative/folk band with siblings Mick Grocholl and Kaylyn Hastings, alongside Preston Czygan. The trio combines a singer/songwriter feel with folk, indie, bluegrass, and pop, crafting their unique sound. Stormfolk has featured numerous artists and primarily uses vocals, stringed instruments, and percussion. Mick Grocholl (vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo, piano, drums) began writing and recording during his high school years. Born 1994 in Mobile, AL, Mick started uploading his tracks to streaming services after learning to mix and produce his own music. Kaylyn Hastings (vocals, bass) played softball and alto saxophone during school. Born 1992 in Vero Beach, FL, Kaylyn grew up with a passion for singing. In 2021, she taught herself bass which she plays now in Stormfolk. Preston Czygan (violin) classically learned violin at at a young age. Born in 1997, Preston grew up with a love for video games and music. From Upper Peninsula, MI, Preston joined Stormfolk June of 2022. Listeners first experienced Stormfolk concerts in Disney Springs, Orlando, FL (2016-2019). The band has spent time in Nashville, TN (2019) before making their final move to Pensacola in the Florida panhandle. Stormfolk’s music is tailored to all ages.
