Morgan Mallory makes eclectic, emotionally driven pop music. Elements of r&b, neo soul, rock, funk, and pop all intertwine in a love letter to the music that made him. Manifesto, his debut album, was released in 2016. Produced by Grammy winning engineer/producer Phil Allen (Adele, P!nk, Aerosmith, Lee DeWyze), his first attempts at songwriting received love from Songwriter Magazine UK, Popdust, and PopWrapped. Since then, he has been cranking out carefully crafted singles in an attempt to showcase his varied musical tastes and themes. Working with Tom Rasulo AKA Patchwork.jpg (Gerard Way/My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Cardi B) has allowed Morgan to sharpen his songwriting and production sense. This partnership delivered Shameless, a smoke-and-chandelier-esque single that shows off his R&B side. 2023 gave him his first opportunity to score a short film, lending his emotional interpretation of the 1870’s folk song “Dixieland” to the original civil war-era short film of the same name starring Tony Todd (Candyman) and Philip Orazio (Mynx, Gaslit). Directed by William Hellmuth and written by J. Scott Worthington. Born & raised in Portland, he is now based in Los Angeles and performs regularly with some of the best musicians the city of angels has to offer.
