For the past couple of years I have been working to develop my own style of writing. Although I often write in different genres I always try to make sure it stays close to who I am. I’ve been writing music for about 10 years now. Just recently I started writing and co-writing production music and I’m loving every minute of it. Writing music is something that helps me make sense of the world around him. It helps me cope with things like heartbreak or grief. Raw emotions are quite often hard for me to process directly. With a guitar it all seems to work itself out automatically. So I pour my heart out on the paper, because it helps me cope. If it can have the same effect on just a small amount of people who hear it, I’ll consider this whole journey a huge success. For a couple of years Rutger has been working with EDM procucers. One in particular ‘Before you die’ together with VERB reached over 200.00 streams and counting. In November 2023, Rutger got nominated for a production music award alongside Manfred Roovers for the song “Winner takes it all”. With the release of “Warrior of the Wild” Rutger and Manfred earned a spot on the Netflix K-drama show called Hierarchy. This is just the beginning, thank you all for listening.
