PURGATE is the solo work of France based Canadian Frederic Arbour, exploring purely analog circuitry through dense layers of treated modular systems and pulsing rhythmic structures. He works on the fringes of Techno and Experimental Electronic music, exploring the genre’s undefined boundaries. He’s so far released music on Aesthetical, Opal Taps, Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, Metaphysik, Total Black and more... As a DJ he’s performed his forward thinking Techno sets at the infamous Tresor club and venues across Europe and Canada. Frederic also creates as one half of Industrial Techno duo STÄRKER (Hospital Productions, Zhark, Concrete, Total Black) and as VISIONS (Cyclic Law), his Deep Ambient musical work. He is also the founder of the Cyclic Law, Cavsas and Aesthetical record labels.
