Massimiliano Pace, a pianist and composer born in Rome, graduated with honors from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory. He specializes in incidental music and has contributed to over 150 theatrical performances worldwide. Notably, he composed the music for the final five shows of Turi Ferro and for six shows by Andrea Camilleri. In 1991, he won the ENAP prize for Caesar and Pompey – Passion and Death of the Republic. In 1994, he wrote The Human Mysteries for the Italian-Latin American Museum in San Francisco. In 2013, he composed La via della Spada for the inauguration of the World Fencing Championships, broadcast globally. His compositions also include works for contemporary dance, such as Black Swan, which premiered at the Pisa Opera House in 2015, as well as soundtracks for television, radio, and film. Recently, he reworked and orchestrated the Canto degli Italiani, performed by Luciana Di Bella for the Italian Consulate in London. His latest compositional work was the Missa Papae Ioannis for soprano, piano, cello quartet, and narrator, performed in a world premiere in London on September 28, 2024.
