Carlyn XP, a singer, song writer and performer is one of Dominica’s most acclaimed female artists and has dominated the stage as a premier performer in the Bouyon genre by being the reigning Bouyon Monarch 2017 and having won the same title in 2016. She is also the reigning Groovy Soca and 1st runner up Power Soca Monarch of Dominica. She has proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with on the stage. Carlyn XP is what you call a well rounded artist. Besides Bouyon and Soca, she is equally talented in other genres such as Reggae, Dancehall, Cadence, Zouk, Compa, R&B, Hip Hop and Rap just to name a few. She is the lead singer of the most versatile band in Dominica, Fanatik. She also sings lead for The Original Pioneers and does a smaller duo live gig with her partner as C Square. Being in the music business for over 10 years, Carlyn XP has collaborated with artists the likes of Michele Henderson, Mr. Benji N2O, Nayee, Heston, Devine Songz. She has also worked with artists like the late Jeff Joe of Grammacks, Exile One, Duane Stevenson, Luciano, Ed Robinson, Daville and many others. Through these many experiences, She knows what it takes to entertain and does it to the highest standards. Aside from her musical talent, Carlyn is also a Certified Registered Nurse and an excellent domino player. She holds the title of “Queen of Domino”, a title obtained when she took part in the World Domino Championship in St. Lucia in 2010.
