Born and raised in Los Angeles, matphilly has been apart of music since he was a kid starting off in local bands, to being a touring act in various bands, to a music producer and DJ in the bass music scene. In his 6 year career as a producer, he’s released music with Nightenjin, Pandafunk, Sppedhouse Movement/Brooklyn Fire, Play Me Records and more. matphilly has played shows for Insomniac at their venues AcademyLA and ExchangeLA, as well as Coachella, and across the United States. In 2020 he was announced as a winner of the EDC Discovery Project and in 2021 he released his debut album ‘I May Be Through With The Past, But The Past Is Not Through With Me’ on Nightenjin.
