Jamal Ari grew up in the streets of Minneapolis, MN until he moved to the Arizona desert at age 19. Although Jamal was born in Tucson, AZ, he lived most of his youth and young adult life in Minneapolis, MN. His father John Marcus is a world renowned guitar player, playing along side BB King, Eric Clapton, Miles David and Howlin Wolf to name a few. Jamal grew up in a very musical home throughout his youth and young adult life soaking up all of the wisdom about music in general as he could. His love for Hip Hop is embedded in his veins and his compassion to make quality music has always been a priority for Jamal Ari. After dropping out of high school Jamal fell deep into the street life. His wit and very conscious mind allowed him to become successful at any hustle he put his mind to. After fighting a case and dealing with his younger brother going to prison, his music passion spilled over his very keen beat selection and has created what we present to you.
