Shvnghii (Shanghaii) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is an upcoming independent artist coming out of Salt Lake City, UT. Growing up as a single child Shvnghii wrote his first verse at the young age of 5. After Shang started pursing music seriously within less than a year of putting out his first EP "Shanghaii Vs Tobi Ali" he went from performing in front 5 to 10 people to performing in front of thousands. SLUG magazine once described his music style as a "less militant 2Pac (vocally) with content similar to Chance the Rapper or “the old” Kanye West".
