Marta Sanchez is a piano player and composer from Spain based in NYC. Marta’s music has received great reviews from the American press being two of her records, “Partenika” and “El Rayo de Luz” selected by The New York Times as one of the 10 best albums of 2015 and Best 10 jazz albums of 2019. Her records have been praised by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, DownBeat, and WBGO, among many other outlets. She has toured the United States, Europe, South America, and Central America, performing as a leader or as a sideman at prestigious venues and festivals. Marta is the pianist of the David Murray Quartet, Maria Grand Duo, Oscar Noriega Quartet, and many others.
