I wrote my first rap in 1987, after hearing Doug E. Fresh's "The Show" for the first time. My parents (who are musicians and songwriters themselves) encouraged me to develop my musical interests by letting me make music in their home studio. I spent the next buncha years building my name and reputation doing demos and shows in various rap groups, where we released four albums and performed in countless shows in Flint, Ann Arbor, Mount Clemens and Detroit. My styles and subject matter change as often as my inspiraiton does. Most of my songs lean towards high-concept art rap, Nerdcore Conscious rap and backpack. Lyrically, I lean more towards complex, multilayered lyrics that are heavy with metaphors, wit and wordplay. I like showing off how clever I think I am :) Production-wise, I go in whatever direction my inspiration takes me. I've made just about every type of instrumental a person can rap to, from Boom Bap to Trap, from G-Funk to Crunk, from Jazz to Salsa, Afrobeat, country, and everything in between. I also have an affinity for concept albums. I love to take a theme or story and develop it over the course of a bunch of songs on a project. so if you hear one song from a project, you're going to want to hear the other songs to see where I take the concept, theme or story to next.
