Afro pop/Alte artist Esi Chelle is a Ghanaian born, US raised singer based in the state of Colorado in the United States. Her musical talents trace back to childhood passions such as poem and story writing which are the foundation of her extensive songwriting skills. Esi attended Achimota Senior Secondary School located in Accra, Ghana where she first got exposed to other students who exhibited the same interest in Ghanaian music. With Esi’s upbringing in the US she was able to cultivate a unique sound and fusion of contemporary pop and Afro sounds, one that aligns with the Afro Alte sound we know today.
