Christian Bluhme was born in Holbæk, Denmark in 1979. A lot of musicians came to visit the local jazzclub, which inspired Christian a lot. In 2003 he moved to Copenhagen to study guitar at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory. Christian Bluhme toured and recorded with Django Bates (Spring Is Here, Shall We Dance?) and played solo guitar pieces by Django in House Of Games (Almeida Theatre, London). He also toured and recorded with Clara Bryld (On Your Wall + Poems Of A Decade), Daniel Herskedal (City Stories), MaRieHønS (music for children), The Smurques and Sarah Elgeti. Recent projects include a collaboration with saxophonist Magnus Poulsen, latest album is called Flowers Of The Freeway. The album Signatur is Christians debut as a leader, featuring a number of his own compositions played duo with percussionist Lisbeth Diers.
