Classically trained pianist and composer Tommy Bravos crafts a world rarely seen in pop music. With contemplative lyrics and forward momentum, lush synths and influence from Greek folk music, his work explores a deeper part of emotional experiences; are memories real if we have no one to share them with, are our dreams capable of removing us from reality? Tommy pulls from the mindfulness of ambience and the theatrics of pop, bringing his message to life with soft but rich vocals. Music and movement are natural energies through which humans express emotions; life is an eternal dance, and Tommy makes that one that is alive and meaningful. His sophomore record Adonis was created in collaboration with sibling and producer Alex Bravos. The album was shaped by the experience of living in a Greek immigrant household and modeled after the Divine Liturgy, while telling a larger myth of finding meaning through suffering.
