Masta DblG ['mæstə 'dʌb(ə)l dʒi] is an underground Hip-Hop & RnB producer, now based out of Houston, TX. He collaborates with a wide variety of American and international singers and rappers. He has been releasing independent albums for the last twelve years, with genres ranging from hip-hop to R&B, acid-jazz, and house. Masta DblG is also a founding member of the French rap group "Les Pizzas Cramées" and a grateful and active member of the The Producer's Corner (TPC) community. DblG spent his teenage years playing concerts and honing his musical skills as the drummer of a technical punk/metal band ('Last Time Around') in his hometown of Edmonton, AB. Graduating from high-school in 2005, he slowly ventured into his solo career, recording piano over his live drumming and releasing tracks under the name AduroViridis (using a tape recorder & minidisc player). In 2010, he started releasing low quality home-made albums under the name Masta DblG, using a Casio keyboard, a microphone wrapped in socks, & live drums. DblG moved to Washington D.C. in 2011, and then to Oakland, California in 2013, where he discarded his microphone socks and started using the Akai MPC as his weapon of choice. In 2019, he moved to Paris, France, and then to Switzerland in 2020, where he lived 3 years. In 2021, Masta DblG started competing in TPC Sample Challenges, greatly improving his skills as a musician & record producer. He is now working on many projects, including his next solo album "DblVision".
