Antethic formed in 2012 in Saint Petersburg, Russia initially as a studio project trio. In 2014 as a four-piece they put out first longplay «Origin». Music from this period showed Antethic in its core as an eclectic and experimental act combining live rock instrumentation with electronic sounds, multilayered guitar parts and droning soundscapes. «Ghost Shirt Society» released in 2017 as a trio became a landmark for Antethic. An original work with instantly recognizable sound, this is a solid and thoughtful album, reflecting both the history of the band and the background of each musician. Staying true to their experimental roots, for the new album Mythographer and for the new sound Antethic switched to completely electronic setup left only with synths, sequencers and drum loops. However main characteristics of the band music are still there: originally crafted sounds, strong compositional feel, and otherworldly melodies.
