Kepi studied electronic music and composition in Minneapolis. A rabid fan of early New York breakdance beats; Kepi caught the bug early and began digging up rare tracks in every record store available. His music collection has been described as deep and genre busting. His unique sound fuses house, remixes, drum and bass, progressive, breaks and tech house into one mesmerizing journey. You may have experienced one of his sunrise sets in front of a Funktion One stack at a full moon gathering – you know who you are. Broadcast nationwide 22,223 miles above earth, Kepi provided regular live sets for XM Satellite Radio “Thump Funk”. Known for playing festivals and outdoor gatherings on the west coast including What The Festival, Love Parade, How Weird Street Faire, LoveFest, Burning Man, Moontribe, and a long list of notable clubs in San Francisco. Collaborations include Desert Dwellers, Kepi & Kat & Poet Lab. He gained world wide exposure with "Limelight, by Kepi & Kat", featured on the soundtrack for the XBOX Launch game "Perfect Dark Zero". In the early 2000's Kepi participated in the San Francisco NARAS chapter, helping to bring the Dance music category to the Grammy awards. For 10 years he participated as a Grammy voting member.
