Realeboga Aobakwe Barnett (born June 8, 2000), known professionally as Kid Rie , is a South African rapper, songwriter and record producer. He was born in Kimberly, Northern Cape and raised in Pudimoe, North West. Kid Rie was under HQ Productions in 2017 alongside his twin brother Lebogang Bakang Barnett, known as Kyrie Beatz. He released singles including Prove Em Wrong under the label, but due to school life, he and his brother had to leave the label the same year. In 2018, Kid Rie and his twin opened a studio of their own, where he released Freestyle. In 2019, together with his newfound crew they released singles Ain't Stopping and Calling My Phone. Kid Rie independently released an single titled The Young Kid Is Kinging (3 songs) and 2 singles. After a few years, he then opened his own recording label Dreams Beyond Records. Now Kid Rie is set to drop a new single early September.
