Giannis Papaioannou (a.k.a. ION) is an electronic music producer based in Athens, GR. As a songwriter and producer he is also leading the industrial group Mechanimal since 2011. Active in local discography since 1985, his participation in bands such as Rehearsed Dreams, Spider's Web & Raw as well as the record productions of Elfish Records (1991-1995) establish him as one of the most active figures in the Greek independent scene.
