FANALI emerged from the creative impulses of three musicians who embarked on a musical journey to craft a unique sonic experience for visual storytelling, aiming to provide "the soundtrack of a film yet to be written." Their artistic vision pushed the boundaries of live looping techniques to their limits. In their pursuit, FANALI found a like-minded collaborator in visual artist Sabrina Cirillo, who became the "eyes" of the group, enhancing their performances with captivating visuals. Following the release of their first LP in 2022, Shidoro modoro - that features collaborations with Pietro Santangelo (PS5, Nu Genea) and Salvio Vassallo - since spring 2023, the band has released their first reinterpretations of Lou Reed and Velvet Underground classics: Venus in Furs with Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator, Faust), All Tomorrow's Parties with Greta Zuccoli, Coney Island Baby with Dellera (Afterhours, The Winstons) and Satellite of Love with Greta Zuccoli and Saturnino (Jovanotti). These songs will be followed by other tracks that will make up "Pale Blue Eyes - Lou Reed Reimagined", a monographic work on the New York-based artist, with the collaboration of other esteemed artists and musicians, including Cesare Basile and Giovanni Succi (Bachi Da Pietra). The release of a new album of original songs is planned for 2024.
