Coastin’ through the outskirts of the Portland-metro in Oregon, celestiiiia was born in the U.S. to Filipino immigrant parents in Santa Clara, California. After sharing her early recordings online through Facebook videos, uploading SoundCloud cover snippets for close friends and family. Over time, she created with a small network of trusted collaborators and producers such as M-Piece, Prodbyagape, & OVERKNIGHT, supporting her throughout her creative journey in building their genre-bending unique sonic ballad dreamscape world. Growing up with deep roots in Pinoy and American cultures, she developed a multifaceted worldview and artistic perspective. Singing, dancing, playing guitar, writing songs at a young age, and influenced by her upbringing, Mary discovered joy and self-expression through music. Familiar styles of the late ’90s, early 2000s, & 2010s R&B, Pop, Alternative, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Dance through radio and TV helped shape her creative and musical tastes. While still early in her journey, her emotive sounds defy easygoing styles, blending elements of Pop, Alternative, Hip-Hop, R&B, & electronica music to create a complimenting sound with her soaring yet grounded vocal style, exploring themes beyond the material plane.
